Part 2 and Part 3 alternate with Part 2 offered in "even" summers and Part 3 offered in "odd" summers. Parts 1, 2, and 3 may be taken as Professional Development or toward the AMS Administrator Credential.  Part 4 is necessary for the credential and includes the school year practicum along with 2 additional days in residence during the second summer.

What are the nearest airports?
Westchester County Airport, JFK, Laguardia Airport.

What should I wear?
Dress code is casual for all classes. We are within walking distance of the Long Island Sound. There is a gym available for use at The College of New Rochelle and for folks staying at the Radisson. We have walking, running and bicycle route maps for folks interested in those activities. You may want to bring a sweater—classrooms are air-conditioned.

I need a place to stay. Do you have housing available?
Yes, we do! Dorm housing is available for Early Childhood students at The College of New Rochelle. The hotel has rooms available for our Infant and Toddler and Administrator cohorts at a discount rate. You must reserve your hotel room with Glenia Rojas to receive the discounted rate.
I don’t have an internship site, what should I do?
You’ll need an internship site to complete your training. If you don’t have an internship, call AMS to ask for information about schools looking for interns. We also suggest you make inquiries with the Montessori schools in your area. We can also give you a list of schools in your area. If you are a school head or school administrator, your job will be your internship.

I have so many questions! What should I do?
Come to an Information Session! We love to meet our candidates in person. K.T. Korngold holds monthly information sessions. Give us a call to sign up for the next one!

Can I bring my parrot?
Sorry, no pets are allowed.
