We have compiled the following lists of supplies based on the requirements of the courses and suggestions from previous students.   If you would prefer to purchase them once you arrive, they are also available at local stationery and office supply stores.

During the first days of class we will discuss organization of course work and resources. You may wait to purchase your binders until after the first class. Please bring a notebook or looseleaf paper for class notes.

Either 2 large binders or 4+ smaller binders both work and it really depends on the adult learner and how they organize best for themselves. We don’t hand anything out the first couple of days so it shouldn’t really cause any difficulty.

  • Binders for handouts (2) 3-inch type
  • Dividers (8)
  • Notebook for handwriting your notes
  • Plastic sheet protectors
  • Computer access with internet will be needed for the online portion of the class.

  • Laptop or tablet (optional)
  • Four 3-ring binders; one additional binder optional for other notes
    • 3 - 4- or 5-inch spines, depending on whether you choose to use page protectors; with a label pocket on the spine
    • Please bring two binders (for Practical Life and Philosophy) to the first class session
  • Index dividers (extended tabs, approximately 48 tabs)
  • Post-It notes
  • You will assemble a Language portfolio throughout the year.  The price for this varies from $75 to $250 depending on the source of your materials.

  • Plastic page protectors (plan for at least 100)
  • Colored pencils, if you choose to illustrate your albums by hand

Depending on your choice of materials, supplies for the Early Childhood program cost approximately $100-300.

In addition, many Adult Learners find these items to be very useful, but they are not required:

  • Plastic templates of geometric shapes / or small ruler
  • Highlighters

  • Laptop or tablet
  • Promotional materials and contracts from your school
