Early Childhood - PA

CME|NY is exploring the option for a 2-Year Early Childhood Course
with 8 workshop sessions held at Penn-Mont Academy in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania
and 13 classes each summer in New Rochelle, New York.

  • Connect with experienced, engaging, and transformative CME|NY faculty at the Penn-Mont, Pennsylvania location.
  • Limit time away from work, family, and home with 13 days of classes in summer 1 and 13 days of classes in summer 2 in New Rochelle, NY.
  • Attend 25% of the classes close to home at Penn-Mont Academy, with 2 workshop sessions during summer 2018 and 6 workshop sessions during weekends in spring 2019.
  • Gain the benefit of attending classes at Penn-Mont, a well-appointed AMS accredited Montessori school and a recognized leader as a provider of the highest quality Montessori education for children.
  • Return for the Fall Seminar following Summer 1 and the Spring Seminar following Summer 2 for practicums and finals with the larger cohort, enabling a joyful and meaningful collegial celebration of learning with the larger community.
  • Engage in a 2-year practicum and receive 3 field consultant visits from CME|NY faculty on-site at your school.
  • Receive CME|NY faculty instruction at both locations, ensuring consistency of presentations and the high-quality educational experience recognized as the standard for CME|NY.

Summer 2018 Part 1:  3 weeks
 June 19–July 6   College of New Rochelle (Philosophy, Practical Life, Sensorial)
 July 16 & 17       2 days at Penn-Mont (Sensorial Continued, Movement)
Fall Seminar 2018:  1 weekend
Dec. 8 & 9   2-day Seminar in New Rochelle, NY
Spring 2019:  3 weekends (dates to be confirmed) 
March 9 & 10  Penn-Mont (Music, Art)
April 6 & 7      Penn-Mont (Geography, Science)
May 18 & 19   Penn-Mont (Special Needs, Material Making, Classroom Management, and Peace)
Summer 2019 Part 2:  2 ½ weeks
July 10-July 26   College of New Rochelle (Language, Child Development, Math)

Spring Seminar 2020:  3-day weekend
 May 1-3    3-day Seminar in New Rochelle, NY

Tuition and Fees:

Dorm and Dining accommodations available at the College of New Rochelle:
Double Dorm Room  2018 rate      $1,838.00
Single Dorm Room   2018 rate       $2,678.00

Payment plan available over 2-years.

Note:  As a courtesy to the PA cohort we are waiving the usual and customary $300 carrying fee for a two-year course. Any increase in facility, accommodations or seminar fees will be published in advance.
